MainConcept Releases its New AAC Encoder Plug-In

MainConcept, a wholly-owned subsidiary of DivX, has released its AAC Encoder Plug-In to enrich the latest version of Adobe Flash Media Encoder 2.5.

The MainConcept AAC Encoder Plug-In enables the creation of high-quality audio within Adobe Flash Media Encoder 2.5, which already includes MainConcept's H.264 video encoder technology. The new technology from MainConcept will enable Adobe users to create and share Adobe Flash compliant media files that include both high-quality H.264/AVC video and AAC audio in one seamless package.

The AAC Encoder Plug-In from MainConcept is the perfect companion for the Adobe Flash Media Encoder, as it enables the creation of Adobe Flash compliant streams using the MainConcept encoding technology on-the-fly. The Adobe Flash Media Encoder software can capture live audio and video while and stream content in real-time, easily editing their media files in other tools, such as Adobe Premiere Pro software.

AAC is a wideband audio coding algorithm, which dramatically reduces the amount of data needed to represent high-quality digital audio.
