Philips Launches Digital Pocket Memo 9500

Royal Philips Electronics has announced the launch of its new professional dictation recorder, the Digital Pocket Memo 9500. Coupled with recent launches of the Digital Pocket Memo 9600 and Digital Pocket Memo 9370, Philips now provides a complete suite of affordable mobile dictation products to users in legal and healthcare settings.

The Digital Pocket Memo 9500 features a, four-position slide switch, the industry's largest LCD display, ergonomic design and full metal casing. Users can quickly charge the recorder from any location via a USB connection and an exchangeable SD card allows almost unlimited recording capacity.

In addition, the Digital Pocket Memo 9500 is packaged with SpeechExec Pro Dictate. This network-based dictation software features file encryption and enables the recorder to be used as an online microphone. It also allows spoken instructions to be set during dictation so transcriptionists are provided with additional information. New digital users will experience excellent sound quality based on the .dss file format and greater flexibility through instant access to any part of the recording. Completed files can be quickly transferred via a USB connection to a computer for storage or professional transcription.

The Digital Pocket Memo 9500 is compatible with standard technologies such as the SD card, mini-USB socket, standard AAA batteries, 3.5 mm headphone, microphone sockets and the .dss file format. The package also includes the USB Docking Station and rechargeable batteries.
