Cricket Introduces Samsung SCH-r610

Samsung Telecommunications America and Cricket Communications, the operating subsidiary of Leap Wireless International, has announced the availability of the Samsung SCH-r610 handset to Cricket customers.

The SCH-r610 features an internal antenna, a high-resolution, 262K TFT display, EVDO: CDMA 800/PCS 1900MHz, MP3 player with microSD memory slot, BREW 3.14, 1.3MP camera, WAP 2.0, stereo Bluetooth and a loud, clear speaker phone. The SCH-r610 measures 4.06 x 1.96 x .5 inches and weighs 2.92 ounces — with digital talk time up to 3 hours and standby time up to 350 hours.

The SCH-r610 is data capable, supporting Cricket's Mobile Web, which allows customers to browse news, entertainment, sports, and chat, and personalize their handsets with the latest ringtones and graphics. It will also allow customers to download games with Cricket Games & Apps.

The SCH-r610 phone is available at select Cricket retail stores and Cricket dealers immediately.
