Pinnacle Systems Launches New Contest

Due to the tremendous response to its "Share Your Pinnacle Studio Experience" online video editing contest, Pinnacle Systems, the consumer division of Avid Technology, has announced a new contest, "The Ultimate Pinnacle Studio Experience". The new online video editing contest, which begun December 6, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. PST and ends January 31, 2008 at 11:59 p.m. PST, is open to more users and features new prizes from Pinnacle Systems and Microsoft. Winners of the contest's Fall Edition were also announced.

Since the "Share Your Pinnacle Studio Experience" contest went live in July in the US and Europe, the number of contestants and site visitors has continued to grow, reaching more than 1.75 million page views and more than 700 video submissions by the end of December. Visitors to the contest's web site have been showcasing their creative pieces, enjoying the diversity of the submitted videos, voting or rating their favorites, reading about user experiences and sharing editing techniques.

"The Ultimate Pinnacle Studio Experience" new video contest will enable even more users of Pinnacle Studio software users to share their creativity and experiences with thousands of visitors from around the world. Eligibility has been extended to include US and Canadian (excluding Quebec) users with all versions of Pinnacle Studio software, not just Pinnacle Studio 11. In addition, the contest will now accept one submission per email address, rather than one per household.

Pinnacle Systems has also lined up an exciting group of prizes that will be awarded to the contest's winners. First-place winner will receive a Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite, a Pinnacle PCTV HD Ultimate Stick and Pinnacle Title Extreme. For second place, the winner will receive a Microsoft Zune 80GB, a Pinnacle PCTV HD Card and the Pinnacle Scorefitter product vol. 1 & 2 with original, royalty-free songs for use with Pinnacle Studio v.11. Third-place winner will receive a Microsoft Zune 30GB and the Pinnacle Scorefitter product vol. 1 & 2.

Entering the contest is free and participants only need to register and submit a 100-word (or less) description of their positive experience with Pinnacle Studio software together with a sample video. Each month, the three videos with the most votes and highest ratings from the public win. See contest rules for full details. In addition, Pinnacle Systems' staff members will select their favorite videos and link them to the contest website for everyone to enjoy.

3rd Place: Calvin Bagaoisan, of Honolulu, Hawaii receives a Pinnacle PCTV HD Pro Stick for his video, "High School Memories".
Pinnacle Staff Favorite Video: Will Schoenfeld, of Scottsdale, Arizona for his video, "Film Club Trailer".

October contest winners included:
1st place: Andrew Crefeld, of Hermitage, Tennessee receives a Panasonic AVCHD camcorder (model HDC-SD5) for his video, "The Photo Shoot at Lakewood Park."
2nd place: Vernon Ross, of North Las Vegas, Nevada receives a Pinnacle PCTV To Go for his video, "Gotcha Security."
3rd place: Joe Bourbeau, of Hampton, Minnesota receives a PCTV HD Pro Stick for his video, "The Machine Preview".
Pinnacle Staff Favorite Video: David Dueck from Hinsdale, Illinois for his video "The Enterprising Vagabonds – Trailer".

November contest winners included:
1st place: Shawn Rutherford, of Cedar Park, Texas receives a Panasonic AVCHD camcorder (model HDC-SD5) for his video, "Rockpointe gives back".
2nd place: Avery Wrubleski, of Bart, Pennsylvania receives a Pinnacle PCTV To Go for her video, "Skateboarding Fun!"
3rd place: Dwayne McCauley, of Richmond, Virginia receives a PCTV HD Pro Stick for his video, "Daddys Shoes".
Pinnacle Staff Favorite Video: Russ McLeod from Toronto, Canada for his video "Sapnas Surprise".
