Opalis Integration Server Version 5.4 Now Available

Opalis Software has announced the availability of version 5.4 of its Opalis Integration Server. The new release includes unique capabilities for automating, integrating, and orchestrating IT processes within the data centre, including support of service-oriented architecture environments, giving customers the ability to achieve greater IT efficiency and business agility while maximising the performance and return on investment of their IT resources.

Opalis' RBA solutions deliver automation through orchestration of IT processes, thereby reducing the manual repetitive efforts that are burdensome, wasteful, and prone to error, yet which must be done by IT to ensure enterprise-efficient operations. Opalis' solution is based on a scalable architecture, broad IT workflow automation capabilities, an easy-to-use administrator interface for modification of pre-existing workflows or creation of new ones, and extensive integration capabilities for IT management and provisioning products from IT industry vendors. For customers employing ITIL, Opalis offers automated enforcement of ITIL processes and a user-friendly dashboard for reliable compliance reporting.

The new Opalis Integration Server release includes deep integration into an SOA environment, where business processes often cross multiple business owners and service providers who are dependent on the IT infrastructure. The infrastructure, therefore, must be responsive to constant changes with reliable configuration management and fast incident remediation. For SOA environments, Opalis Integration Server delivers new XML processing capabilities that provide rich manipulation and transformation of content that is delivered from Web services-based SOA solutions, enabling deep integration between components.

Via a new Policy Testing Consule also found in the new Opalis Integration Server release, Opalis further optimises performance by validating IT process workflows prior to deployment to diagnose potential bottlenecks. Opalis' automation solutions replace traditional manual tasks with automated policies that can be run unattended.

As part of this announcement, Opalis is also announcing the general availability of the Opalis Process Catalog for Virtualisation, announced in September at VMworld. The Opalis Process Catalog for Virtualisation enables out-of-the-box IT processes to operationalise virtual environments faster than any other solution today.

Opalis Process Catalog for Virtualisation gives the Global 2000 a market-leading solution for optimising management of virtualised environments, helping IT organisations control virtual management costs and improve service quality.
