Xsilva Unveils LightSpeed 2.5 Point of Sale for Mac

Xsilva Systems has released LightSpeed 2.5, a new version of the Point of Sale (POS) solution on Mac OS X. "With LightSpeed 2.5, Point of Sale on Mac gets even better", said Xsilva CEO, Dax Dasilva. "Now retailers can view LightSpeed Stats on their iPhone to get the latest details on sales anywhere, anytime — and use Cover Flow in both the LightSpeed browser and POS screen to quickly and effortlessly find the product or customer information they need."

LightSpeed 2.5 also debuts two highly requested features: Multi-Store Transfers for moving stock between store locations; and a Label Designer for custom product label templates.

LightSpeed 2.5 highlights:
- iPhone Stats: Now retailers can track sales, payments, returns, and invoice count for the day, the week, the month or even the year- with LightSpeed Stats on their iPhone. They can also see which employees are clocked in at the store, when they started, and how much time they've spent on Jobs and Tasks. And contacting an employee directly is as easy as tapping their phone number or email address.
- Cover Flow Interface: The same Cover Flow interface that makes finding information on iTunes and the iPhone fast and fun makes it easy to zero in on information in the LightSpeed Browser and on the LightSpeed POS screen.
- Multi-Store Transfers: LightSpeed 2.5 makes it easy to transfer stock from one store's database to another and receive stock with ease. Browsing and management tools make it easy to review 'transfer in' and 'transfer out' documents, run reports on inventory 'in transit' and export information to accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Label Designer: Now it's easy to go beyond pre-made product label layouts and design your own custom labels. Want a use a different label size? Want to import a boutique logo? The new Label Designer provides easy-to-use graphical layout tools to create all types of product labels.
