New VTech Cordless Phone System Introduced

VTech Communications has announced retail and online availability of the LS5145, a new 5.8 GHz Digital Spread Spectrum expandable cordless phone system that raises the bar for style and functionality with the addition of Bluetooth wireless capabilities. Sporting an ultra-modern design, the LS5145 is the first VTech phone system capable of making and receiving both cellular and landline calls using this Bluetooth connectivity feature. Engineered with an ultra-modern design, the new VTech LS5145 represents the next generation of the i5871, which introduced a new standard for cordless phone design in 2005.

The LS5145 incorporates unique details such as a sleek, thin-flowing handset and base station and a metallic and high-gloss black finish. A stylish addition to any room in the home or small office, the LS5145 offers a high-resolution, full-color display and a vibrant blue backlit keypad for easy viewing.

Thanks to user-friendly Bluetooth technology, the LS5145 can receive both landline and cellular calls on the handset, with the sound quality and convenience of a landline system. The cordless phone system can be paired with up to eight Bluetooth devices, enabling users to conveniently make and answer calls from any member of the family's cellular phone. Taking a cellular call on the system enables users to roam throughout the house with peace-of-mind that the call won't be drop or be missed while the cell phone charges in a different room. The LS5145 also enables users to make and receive traditional landline calls with a Bluetooth headset for hands-free conversations.

In addition to Bluetooth capabilities, the VTech LS5145 delivers a range of other superior features. For stand-out customization and personalization, the LS5145 provides a combination of images and animations for assigning wallpaper and the ability to record ring tones directly from any type of stereo equipment. The phone system is expandable with up to 12 handsets using the LS5105 accessory handsets, which can be placed anywhere in the house from a single phone jack at the base station. As a result, users have landline connectivity virtually anywhere they go in the home. Finally, the LS5145 offers a handset and base speakerphone for even more hands-free convenience.
