Comodo Offers Free PCI Scanning

Comodo is doing its part to assist businesses in protecting consumer information from hackers by offering eMerchants a free quarterly PCI compliant scan. This free PCI scan can help eMerchants meet the PCI compliance requirement deadlines in addition to helping protect their customer's information from disclosure that might result from malicious hacking. Further, as Comodo is offering this PCI scan for free, it can save Merchants thousands of dollars in their compliancy costs.

In this day and age, consumers are worried that their confidential information may not be safe when submitted or stored online. PCI compliance scanning assists businesses in determining if their sites are vulnerable to hackers and provides valuable insights on how to remedy problem areas. PCI (Payment Card Industry) standards require that eMerchants who accept credit card payments scan their websites for possible vulnerabilities and companies failing to comply with PCI standards could face financial penalties or lose their ability to process credit card transactions.

Yet, as recently reported in eWeek, ("Study Shows Businesses Face PCI Challenges" - Sept 27) many eMerchants are struggling to comply with PCI Data Security Standards because it can be difficult and costly. To enable more eMerchants to comply, Comodo is offering this free quarterly PCI Scan as part of their overall PCI compliancy program. "Keeping customer information safe is a top priority for eMerchants. No one wants to have a hacker use their site to steal identity information", says Melih Abdulhayoglu, CEO and Chief Security Architect of Comodo. "That's why Comodo is offering the HackerGuardian Free PCI Scan. This free scan shows eMerchants their vulnerable areas and delivers true value and security to many businesses. Because it is free, any eMerchant concerned about their customer's valuable and sensitive data will want to find out what they can do to better improve their website's security."
