Passlogix Adds Windows Vista Support to v-Go Sign-On Platform

Passlogix has announced the addition of Windows Vista support to its v-GO Sign-on Platform. All modules of the suite now run on Windows Vista as well as Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, enabling organizations with any current Windows operating system to deploy v-GO as a means of simplifying secure user logon to business applications.

v-GO SSO, the cornerstone of the v-GO suite, automatically and securely signs the user into any number of Windows, mainframe or Web applications after a single network logon without additional identification and authentication processes. This reduces the security gaps, administrative overhead, user frustration and help desk costs associated with the use of multiple application passwords.

The v-GO platform also includes five add-on products that extend v-GO's single sign-on capabilities to any form of strong authentication (v-GO Authentication Manager) and to kiosk environments (v-GO Session Manager); streamline user provisioning by enabling all identity provisioning systems to automatically inject user credentials into v-GO SSO (v-GO Provisioning Manager); permit self-service reset of forgotten Windows passwords (v-GO Self Service Password Reset); and centralize management of strong authentication devices from any vendor (v-GO Credential Manager).

v-GO can be deployed without writing scripts or connectors even to homegrown or legacy applications, installed on existing servers without adding dedicated or proprietary hardware, and scale to support organizations of any size.

Enterprises frequently deploy v-GO before implementing identity management or two-factor authentication because v-GO can go live quickly and seamlessly integrate with any user provisioning or strong authentication system, including any combination of smart cards, badges, proximity devices, tokens or biometrics. This allows enterprises to quickly realize the benefits of single sign-on while still evaluating identity provisioning and two-factor authentication technologies.
