Xceive and Genesis Launch Reference Design Supporting Digital and Analog Broadcast Reception for HD Flat-Panel TVs

Xceive and Genesis Microchip announce the launch of a joint reference design platform for HD flat-panel TV manufacturers. This joint reference platform was designed to enhance the quality, performance and capabilities for flat-panel TVs while significantly reducing development time for customers.

The reference design combines Xceive's XC5000 with Genesis' digital TV processors, delivering the highest quality images available. Xceive's platform exceeds worldwide analog and digital TV requirements for terrestrial and cable reception and utilizes HDTV controller solutions from Genesis to target global mainstream TV customers.

Xceive and Genesis have completed the reference-design hardware, which will be available in the fourth quarter of 2007. Interested parties can contact either company about the availability of various hardware and software licensing arrangements.
