ModViz Announces StreamPlay for Windows

ModViz has announced Windows capability for the company's new graphics streamware products, StreamPlay 1.1 and StreamPlayer 1.1. Previously available only on Linux, StreamPlay now provides true cross-platform support enabling Windows and Linux users to record, playback, edit, interact, distribute and share streaming 3D OpenGL graphics data and workflows seamlessly across both platforms.

StreamPlay is a 3D recording and editing tool that records the output stream from a 3D graphics application as a user creates, edits and interacts with his or her data. StreamPlayer is the client software of StreamPlay that allows interactive replay of the StreamPlay files. Together they enable peer review, high-fidelity management presentation, decision archiving, and workflow based training for 3D graphics professionals.

More than 100,000 companies in industries ranging from oil exploration, manufacturing, entertainment and bio-medical rely on professional 3D applications for their core business activities. By enabling 3D data and workflows to be shared independently of these applications, StreamPlay helps 3D professionals within these industries to enhance workflow, easily share and display their 3D output to facilitate peer review, and use interactive 3D data in high-fidelity management presentation with confidence and impact. Early customers of StreamPlay include Chevron, Anadarko, Amerada Hess, CGG-Veritas, Woodside, Marathon, Occidental Petroleum, and ConocoPhillips.
