AIRCOM Accelerates WiMAX with Enterprise 6.0

AIRCOM International launches the Enterprise 6.0 network engineering suite for complete network performance. Enterprise 6.0 has the potential to accelerate the roll-out and integration of WiMAX networks, with enhancements to its fixed WiMAX tools and the addition of new mobile WiMAX planning capabilities. Enterprise 6.0 enables operators to manage the range of network technologies - WiMAX, HSDPA, 3G, GPRS and 2G - from one platform using a single-source database, GIS and data management system.

AIRCOM introduced its first Enterprise tool to the market in 1997. Today, more than half of the world's network operators rely on Enterprise tools for their network planning, management and optimisation tasks.

Operators can take advantage of the modular mix-and-match design of Enterprise 6.0 to maximise their investment by selecting the capabilities that precisely meet individual business requirements. This means operators only pay for what they need, rather than bearing the cost of features and services superfluous to their needs.

Enhancements within the Enterprise 6.0 release include:
• Dynamic modules enabling time savings of up to 75 per cent;
• Array creation performance has been improved by up to 80 per cent;
• Multi-core processor optimisation gives up to 70 per cent faster dual-core production throughput;
• GSM measurements up to eight times faster.

The single platform architecture of Enterprise 6.0 ensures the same data is used across an organisation. This reduces both capital and operational expenditure – one platform means faster deployment with no data conversion cost or time implications.
