Anevia Introduces Its Second-generation IPTV Products at IBC 2007

Anevia, French designer of the Flamingo DVB-to-IP gateways and the Toucan VOD/nPVR servers, will exhibit its latest IPTV products at IBC. In 2007 these two Anevia products have been successfully deployed by leading telecom customers: Telecom Italia France deployed Toucans for its VOD service with 4000 titles, Alands DataKommunikation (Alcom) implemented Toucans for its nPVR service in Finland, Tele2 Sweden selected Flamingos for the broadcasting of DVB-T channels in 20 Swedish Cities and Sierre Energie also chose Flamingos to deliver 90 channels over its FTTH network.

At booth 4.331, Anevia will demonstrate its two main IPTV products with their latest improvements:
The first product is the Toucan "On Demand" server. Visitors will see the next standard video services that will be offered in 2008.
- Catch Up TV: later play back of TV programs;
- nPVR: record and play without requiring a personal hard disk;
- Start Over: watch the beginning of a TV show you missed;
- Pause TV: pause, instant replay, fast rewind and forward;

Toucan is designed to combine competitive pricing with carrier grade performances, in only 1RU: up to 500 h storage, up to 2 weeks of Catch Up TV programs, high recording performance -up to 10 channels simultaneously- and telco features such as load balancing, high availability and easy management.

The second product is the new Flamingo DVB to IP gateway, successfully launched in June 2007. This carrier-grade new generation Flamingo can stream over IP in 1RU up to 60 TV channels, whether they are free-to-air or encrypted. It has innovative features such as high availability, SNMP monitoring, DVB-S2 compatibility, PID remapping, two CAM slots.

Anevia is coming to IBC for the fourth consecutive year.
