Harman/Becker Automotive Systems Introduces New GPS Unit

Harman/Becker Automotive Systems, a division of U.S.-based Harman International Industries, has announced the U.S. launch of a new, technologically advanced mobile navigation system, the Traffic Assist Highspeed 7934. The new product is available exclusively at Office Depot retail stores nationwide. The Traffic Assist Highspeed 7934 offers a wide variety of user-friendly features along with state-of-the-art technology, including detailed maps of the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico, 3.5-inch touch-screen with color display and a day/night display option for high quality, visible graphics at all times, 400 MHz processor for fast route calculations, two internal speakers for outstanding sound quality - even in noisy environments and speed limit display (legal speed limits are shown on the display and a voice signal warns the driver in case of excess speed).

The Becker Traffic Assist 7934's integrated MP3/WMA player makes it possible to listen to music via two integrated speakers or headphones. A unique option is the capability to play music while in navigation mode. The display supports JPEG format photos and even includes a slideshow feature. The Traffic Assist Highspeed 7934 is the first Harman/Becker mobile GPS device available in the United States, with additional products scheduled to launch by the end of 2007.
