Comms Solutions Voted a Winner by Major Channel Players

Following the success of the inaugural Comms Solutions '07 event held at the new Wembley Stadium in early May, organisers BPL & 360 Events are planning an even bigger show at the same venue next spring.

The event was the first trade show held at the new stadium and attracted a channel audience high on quality and quantity to the delight of exhibitors and main sponsors.

Graham Bevington, Managing Director of Mitel said: "Comms Solutions '07 was an excellent event for Mitel; quality attendees, a quality venue and a fantastic result. Mitel's new UK channel strategy, announced just before the show, clearly struck a chord with the UK reseller community. The feedback we had at the show was superb and we have over 100 new resellers coming on board as a result of the two days. We're already looking forward to an even better Comms Solutions 08."

"The show was an outstanding success. There were a large number of stands for this type of event and the level of attendance was very high", added Phillip Reynolds, joint managing director of Oak Telecom.

Another 'Golden Boot' sponsor Cisco was equally pleased. "It was a great event. The venue was spectacular and the quality of the delegates made it a very successful event for Cisco", said Clive Sawkins, Director Unified Communication & Emerging Technology.

Organisers BPL Business Media have already commenced negotiations with Delaware North, the contracted exhibition management company for Wembley, to take over the entire facilities at the stadium for a two-day event on April 16th and 17th next year.

"We are hoping to utilise the march larger Great Hall for our exhibition space and we can then have the magnificent Corinthian Room for our evening event on the 9th",said Event Director and Comms Dealer Publisher Nigel Sergent.

"We plan to have a dedicated seminar function room where a number of panel discussions will be a highlight of the educational programme and we also hope to offer companies pitch side executive boxes for private meetings and presentations."

BPL believes both the Comms and IT sectors will now identify Comms Solutions as the de facto ICT national channel event. As chairman Chris Boeree explained: "The channel deserves a quality annual event and having overcome the hurdles of being the first trade event at the new Wembley we feel confident of providing the ultimate national channel event next year. The feedback we have had on this year's show has been very positive and considering we only had a few months to sell and prepare the event we are delighted at the outcome."

BPL is offering 'Early Bird' stand and sponsorship deals at the same price as this year until July 31st 2007.
