3D Systems Exhibiting at Project Lead the Way Training Institute at the University of South Carolina

3D Systems will be exhibiting its InVision LD 3-D Modeler on Thursday, June 7, 2007, at the Project Lead the Way Summer Training Institute at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina.

Project Lead the Way is a national alliance of middle schools, high schools and colleges with industry to prepare an increasing and more diverse group of students for success in science, engineering and engineering technology. PLTW courses augment current math and science courses being offered in schools and give students the opportunity to earn college credits.

The University of South Carolina, a PLTW Affiliate, is holding two summer training institutes in June. During the weeks of June 3-15 and June 17-29, teachers will be immersed in intensive, content-specific, project-based programs that will prepare them to teach the PLTW curriculum to students during the school year.

3D Systems is newly involved in the PLTW Summer Training Institute and plans to display its InVision LD 3-D Modeler, an affordable, classroom-compatible desktop modeler that builds rigid plastic parts in various color options for concept design.
