VideoIQ Introduces VideoIQ 800HD Smart Video Analyzer

VideoIQ has announced the launch of the VideoIQ 800HD Smart Video Analyzer. This announcement marks the first new product introduction since the company's spinout from GE Security. Now in its third generation, VideoIQ 800HD offer customers significant enhancements over earlier models including new networking and management capabilities that make it suitable for remote monitoring applications.

VideoIQ 800HD is a one-of-a-kind video analytics solution that transforms video surveillance into a dynamic, real-time intelligent system for guarding against intruders, and gaining early warning of security breaches in nearly any environment. VideoIQ offers the industry's best detection accuracy with the fewest false alarms, and continues to set the standard with its latest improvements. With the release of this new model, customers now gain the ability to network their sites together, allowing all of their VideoIQ systems to be managed and monitored as one large system.

The new VideoIQ 800HD is the successor to the VIQ-8HD previously offered by GE Security. VideoIQ 800HD offers important new features which include:
- Remote notification with video. Alarm verification video clips now capture events for remote viewing or delivery to other systems, and are installer programmable from seven seconds to 60 seconds in length. These verification clips make identifying the source and validity of an alarm easy through the use of red outlines displayed around detected people, or blue outlines for vehicles and boats.
- Networked alarm management: The VideoIQ 800HD now enables customers to remotely monitor alarms, video clips and status from any number of 800HDs or 8HDs from one management station. Customers can also monitor the status of cameras, as well as manage and configure VideoIQ systems over any Internet, LAN or WAN connection.
- Enhanced nighttime clarity: Enhanced night mode significantly increases accuracy in low light, and increases night time sensitivity by a factor of 8X. The VideoIQ 800HD also includes automatic day/night switching, adapting automatically when cameras switch from color to black & white for night vision.
