HomeSeer Unveils New 'HomeTroller' Home Automation Controller

HomeSeer Technologies announces its new "HomeTroller" home automation controller. The new controller is designed to integrate home lighting, appliances, security, climate and audio/video systems by combining the best attributes of the most popular automation systems available. Homeowners can choose the technologies that best suit their needs and control their homes with a wide assortment of interfaces including push-button controllers, touchscreens, wireless remotes, telephones and even voice. Like other HomeSeer systems, HomeTroller is also web-enabled and may be accessed by any internet-capable device from anywhere in the world.

Two new technologies are being introduced to help make HomeTroller ultra-reliable. HSSentry+ constantly monitors the unit for problems and resets the system if any are detected. HSProtect guards the embedded operating system from any virus, spyware or malware attacks. Together, these new technologies work in tandem to provide HomeTroller with the highest possible level of reliability.

HomeTroller is designed to work seamlessly with industry standards and products from leading manufactures such as Lutron, Intermatic, Leviton, Russound, Cooper, Monster Cable, Microsoft, Centralite, DSC, Aprilaire, ACT and RCS (to name just a few). Support for the latest automation technologies such as Z-Wave, and Insteon is also included.

HomeTroller is slated to begin shipping in May, 2007.
