PacketLight Networks Completes Interoperability Testing with IBM

PacketLight Networks announces that its PL-400, PL-100, PL-200 and PL-10 have all successfully completed interoperability testing with specified IBM System Storage products DS4000, DS6000, DS8000 and SVC and have qualified for IBM System Storage Proven Program. PacketLight's products were tested in IBM Peer to Peer Remote Copy, Metro Mirror solution and IBM SAN Volume Controller Peer to Peer Remote Virtualization Solution.

The PL-400 is a connectivity solution over dark fibre and CWDM, DWDM networks. It enables connecting up to 8 channels of 1/2/4G FC, FICON, ESCON, GbE, Video and Infiniband, providing Performance Monitors for FC and GbE, protection schemes, passive optics and EDFA all in a compact 1U solution. PacketLight's PL-100 is a storage extension product enabling connectivity of Fibre Channel, GbE, FICON and ESCON over SONET/SDH networks at bandwidths of 2.5Gb/sec over distances of up to 1600 Km. The PL-200 is a compact FC over IP solution, implementing the FCIP standard with compression and encryption.
