Blackmagic Design NAB Announcements

Blackmagic Design makes three announcements at NAB 2007 and will show these products all week at NAB in their booth SL 11020.

1.Multibridge Eclipse. The world's first editing system with 3 Gb/s SDI, HDMI and analog video capture and playback, 16 channel audio, and 2K film via SDI resolution capture and playback. Multibridge Eclipse is most sophisticated editing solution available, with the new 3 Gb/s SDI standard connections, it allows twice the SDI data rate than normal HD-SDI, while retaining compatibility with normal HD-SDI and standard definition SDI equipment. 3 Gb/s SDI allows 4:4:4 video using a single BNC type connection, or Blackmagic Design's new 2k via SDI allows high resolution real time 2048 x 1556 feature film editing. For greater assistance in the feature film editing process, Multibridge Eclipse includes color management via built in 3D lookup tables.

2.Intensity Pro. The world's first high definition editing card with HDMI and analog component, NTSC, PAL and S-Video capture and playback. Intensity Pro is the first card to combine the high quality of HDMI capture and playback with the wide compatibility of analog component, NTSC, PAL and S-Video and analog audio capture and playback. It enables users to capture directly from the HD camera's image sensor, bypassing the video compression chip for true uncompressed video quality. Now users can go beyond the quality limits of HDV for editing, design and authoring with Intensity Pro.

3.HDLink Pro. The world's first monitoring solution for DVI and HDMI displays that features 2K support via 3 Gb/s SDI, built in 3D lookup tables, and 6 channel audio. HDLink Pro allows any supported DVI or HDMI display to be used for incredible HD-SDI monitoring. It supports the new 3 Gb/s SDI standard for twice the SDI data rate than normal HD-SDI. 3 Gb/s SDI retains compatibility with normal HD-SDI and standard definition SDI equipment, however the higher 3 Gb/s data rate allows 4:4:4 video using a single BNC type connection, or Blackmagic Design's new 2k via SDI allows high resolution real time 2048 x 1556 feature film editing. HDLink works with Blackmagic's new Multibridge Eclipse, for easy, real time 2048 x 1556 2K feature film resolution playback on a 30" display.
