Convergys Board of Directors Elects Orr Chairman and Dougherty President and CEO

The Board of Directors of Convergys has elected James F. Orr Chairman of the Board for a term ending December 31, 2007. At the same time, the Board elected David F. Dougherty President and Chief Executive Officer of the company effective immediately.

Orr became the company's first CEO in 1998 and was first elected Chairman of the Board in 2000. On February 20, he announced his retirement as CEO effective immediately, and his retirement as Chairman of the Board on December 31.

Dougherty, who first joined the company in 1990, was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of Convergys in September 2005, and became a member of the Board of Directors in August 2006.

Effective immediately, Earl C. Shanks, Chief Financial Officer; William H. Hawkins II, Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary; and Clark D. Handy, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, will report to Dougherty.
