L Completes Prototypes for Olympus Laptop Series

L International Computers says it has completed the final prototyping of their announced Olympus PCI-XPress Laptop Computer Series with four variations on the screen-size of 12.1", 15.4", 17" and 20". The new notebook series throughout its complete line offers world-class desktop replacement performance and are fully upgradeable and modular.

Designed around a workstation-grade PCI-Express architecture supporting Intel's latest generation Multi-Core Processors, the Olympus series comes standard with PuRAM Solid State Drives and includes Instant-On no-rebooting Technology within the Windows XP/Vista Environments. Liebermann is furthermore pleased to announce that the new Olympus Series premiers shipments with Dual-OSes, both Windows (XP pro or Vista Ultimate) and Linux including a complete set of proprietary and certified drivers for both 32bit and 64bit and most flavors of Linux. The 17" and 20" Olympus models feature NVIDIA's single or SLI Technology, and the graphics engine is fully upgradeable guaranteeing added expandability and a future-proof investment.

A docking station with multiple swappable jackets ranging from Quad-RAID hard drive configurations to desktop full size PCI-Express slots will be optimally also available making the Olympus among the most powerful and versatile desktop replacement notebooks on the market. The new series comes also standard with L's SuperBIOS IPBT and CacheFlow Technology delivering SSD disk burst transfer rates nearing 8,5GB/s I/O and over 500,000 I/O requests per second, translating into real-world performance of up to 100x faster than the fastest available Hard Disk design at any price or configuration.

L's all-new OneTouch Backup / Restore Technology for bullet-proof Data Security backup and restore effortless procedures is also standard on all models and a vast array of customization and added modules including BlueRay & HD-DVD optical drives will be also available.
