Corel Snapfire DVD Maker Announced

Corel has announced Corel Snapfire DVD Maker, the first add-on for the new Corel Snapfire Plus – the smart alternative to traditional digital camera software. With Corel Snapfire DVD Maker, it is easier than ever to turn fun and creative slide shows of your photos and videos into DVDs and play them back for friends and family on television DVD players.

Snapfire Plus, the enhanced version of the free Snapfire download, provides all the tools users need to easily organize, enhance and share digital photos and video clips. Snapfire Plus allows even novice users to take their creativity to new levels with "Snapfire Shows" – highly entertaining and customized photo and video slide shows set to the music soundtrack of their choice and accompanied by customized transitions, captions and unique motion effects.

With Corel Snapfire DVD Maker, users can take their Snapfire Shows off of their computer and bring them into their living rooms to entertain and delight friends and family. In addition, users can easily produce a real DVD experience complete with stylish customizable menus, and chapters that quickly jump to multiple Snapfire Shows that feature favorite photos and video clips.

Users all over the world are creating and sending Snapfire Shows to share their best moments and connect more deeply with loved ones. Tony Philippon of Winthrop, MA, proposed to his fianc?e, Gail, with a Snapfire Show that featured a montage of photos and video clips of their favorite vacation moments set to their favorite song. Snapfire Plus provides more options for creating unique slide shows, including easy video editing and full control over motion effects and transitions, additional project templates and the PhotoSafe Backup System. In addition, users can add new functionality to Snapfire Plus by upgrading to additional new product features as they need them. The Corel Snapfire DVD Maker is the first Add-On to inject additional functionality into the Snapfire Plus product. Corel will announce several additional new add-ons in 2007 and beyond.
