InfoSource Releases Enhanced Online Content Authoring Tool

InfoSource Learning has announced the release of updates and enhancements to its How To Master Content Authoring Tool (CAT). CAT is a complete online authoring system that allows subject-matter experts to independently create custom Web-based training and testing from their proprietary content, in a user-friendly environment requiring no programming knowledge. In response to customer requests for more product flexibility, CAT has been updated with improvements to its interface and functionality, and a new, even more powerful version of the tool, CATpro, has been introduced.

The new CAT authoring tool will shorten development time and provide more engaging learning experiences than ever before. New capabilities added to CAT include a preview feature offering one-click access to viewing a lesson as it will appear to learners, the ability to insert an object and resize it within a lesson, flexibility in repositioning lesson navigation controls, the option to print lesson pages and support for copying content from previously published CAT lessons or other sources. CATpro gives content authors even more flexibility in lesson creation, producing engaging training with the integration of movies, Flash presentations, text, graphics, audio, hotspots, and object behaviors which increase student interaction. Up to 40 objects per lesson page can be employed, with the ability to layer, copy, lock, stretch and shrink objects within a lesson. Multiple learning templates are available for those who need rapid deployment of training with the least amount of design work.

CAT and CATpro are options that enhance the functionality of the How To Master Learning Management System, creating a complete online learning package.
