LG.Philips LCD Opens First Customer Service Center in the U.S.

LG.Philips LCD openes its first customer service center in the United States in San Diego, California. The new customer service center will provide product repair and warranty services to customers in the Americas region, where the demand for LCD TVs is rapidly growing, especially in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Brazil. The service center features optimized facilities and analysis equipment to provide warranty services primarily for LCD panels that are 32 inches and larger. In addition to this newly-opened customer service center, the Company has one sales subsidiary and four representative offices in the U.S.

The opening ceremony for the facility took place in the afternoon of November 16, 2006 (local time), and was hosted by Mr. Joon Ho Kim, vice president and head of the Paju Quality Assurance Department at LG.Philips LCD. Invited guests include representatives from major client firms such as LG Electronics, Philips, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Apple, Syntax-Brillian and Westinghouse. Officials from the city of Carlsbad in San Diego County also attended.
