Informative Graphics Releases Brava Desktop v1.3 Viewer

Informative Graphics announces the release of Brava! Desktop 1.3, the company's Windows desktop executable for multi-format view, annotation, redaction, secure publishing and printing. Brava Desktop is part of the Brava visualization and annotation/markup product line, which includes Brava Enterprise, Brava Desktop, Brava Reader and Brava SDK.

Brava Desktop is designed to provide a unified viewing experience regardless of file format or format concepts. It supports standard formats, as well as vendor-specific formats like Autodesk, Solidworks, Adobe, and Microsoft Office. Brava Desktop is built on a core COM component that is available in the Brava SDK for system integrators and OEM partners.

Brava Desktop 1.3 adds more features including thumbnail support, updated format support, including AutoCAD 2007 DWG and DWF, as well as performance improvements. Brava Desktop will open document, image or CAD drawing formats, add markups and save to Autodesk DWF, Adobe PDF, and TIFF. Brava's new publishing features allow users to save rotated views; DWF files can be viewed properly in Autodesk DWF products where rotated view is not supported.

Brava Desktop's compare tool highlights differences in versioned DWG, DWF, TIFF or PDF files to compare approved markups to actual changes. Redaction, the blocking out and removal of selected text and image data, can be applied to any document, image or drawing viewable in Brava Desktop and saved as PDF, TIFF or IGC's secure CSF. Both zone and text search-based redaction is supported.
