Zoran Vaddis 888 Processor Becomes Nero Digital Certified

Nero announces that Zoran's new Vaddis 888 DVD multimedia processor chip is Nero Digital Certified. Nero Digital, co-developed by Nero and Ateme, is based on industry standards MPEG-4 Video (MPEG-4 SP/ASP and AVC/H.264) and MPEG-4 Audio (LC AAC and HE AAC) compression technologies. It enables the delivery of more high quality MPEG-4 compliant audio and video content at lower bit rates, while offering advanced interactive features.

Vaddis 888 is an advanced DVD multimedia processor with integrated video up-conversion and HDMI interface. The Vaddis 8 processor not only enables HDTV connectivity via HDMI and analog component HD-video with six 14-bit video DACs, but also is capable of supporting the full range of audio features including DVD-Audio and SACD playback. Its SD-to-HD up-conversion enables consumers to view their standard definition content at HD screen resolutions. The HD-JPEG feature enables display of JPEG images at HD resolution of up to 2 Mpixels.
