Sanbolic's Cluster File System with HP All-in-One Storage System

Sanbolic has demonstrated the ability of it's Melio Cluster File System and LaScala volume manager to add additional capability to the new HP All-in-One Storage System.

Sanbolic's Melio File System (FS) and LaScala volume manager enable end users to aggregate multiple HP All-in-One Storage Systems, presenting a single file system and namespace for file serving and/or a large iSCSI storage pool. I/O performance scales with additional All-in-One Storage Systems, which can utilize both internal drives and external storage arrays for storage capacity. Melio FS also enables multiple application servers to concurrently access data on the All-in-One Storage System iSCSI SAN.

The HP All-in-One Storage System represents a new category of storage from HP which provides users with both Windows file serving and iSCSI block storage. It utilizes Microsoft Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 and the Microsoft iSCSI Software Target.

Sanbolic allows the All-in-One Storage System to support applications that benefit from shared iSCSI storage, and to build large modular file serving solutions with high performance and availability. Sanbolic's software also utilizes Microsoft Windows Storage technology, so users can continue operating in a familiar Windows environment.

Sanbolic software currently supports Microsoft Windows Server 2000, Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows Vista, and Microsoft Windows Server 2003, including Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2. Sanbolic distributes its product solutions worldwide through a network of distributors, original equipment manufacturers, value-added resellers and system integrators.
