CNET Networks UK Announces Winners of the 2006 CNET Networks UK Technology Awards

CNET Networks UK has announced the winners of the 2006 CNET Networks UK Technology Awards at a celebratory dinner in the London Hilton on Park Lane. The awards, sponsored by Intel, recognise innovation, application and excellence in technology and business.

Attended by over 600 key industry players, the awards celebrated the outstanding successes the UK technology industry has seen over the last year. Among the winners was Sir Robin Saxby who was recognised for Outstanding Contribution to the UK Technology Industry. Sir Robin has made ARM one of the true success stories of the IT industry. The judges also gave special mention to how instrumental Sir Robin continues to be in promoting the importance of technology and engineering, spreading the word with fervour and commitment.

The full list of 2006 award winners, selected by an independent council of senior industry practitioners and experts from the technology industry and media, is as follows:
