AutomatedQA Announces the Release of AQtime 5

AutomatedQA has announced AQtime 5, the next release of the company's performance profiler and memory debugger. Designed to give developers insight into all aspects of the performance of critical business applications, AQtime 5 includes new features to further expedite and automate the application analysis and debug process, resulting in improved software product quality, reduced long-term development costs and customer satisfaction. Additionally, AQtime 5 extends its support to 64-bit Windows applications, making it the one analysis and debugging application that should be in every developer's toolbox.

According to a study from the Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology, software errors cost the U.S. economy approximately $59.5 billion annually. Manually pinpointing these errors before the product ships is notoriously difficult and time-consuming. It is not unusual for developers to spend days tracking down just one performance and memory problem. But automating test and debug processes can significantly reduce these errors, relieving both time and money spent readying critical business applications for widespread use.

AQtime 5, a general-use analysis and debugging tool, analyzes a running Windows application in real time to gather and display detailed statistics about an application's performance, resource usage and source code coverage. In fact, AQtime 5 customers have noted that they often find the cause of problems and fix them within minutes after deploying the product. With support for both 32- and 64-bit Windows and .NET applications, libraries and services (including IIS, ASP and ASP.NET modules), AQtime 5 offers more than one dozen profilers and productivity tools for complete top-to-bottom application analysis.

Additional AQtime 5 features and capabilities include:
- Ability to exclude known memory leaks from results. AQtime 5 can automatically filter out known memory problems in Microsoft MFC and Borland VCL libraries to let developers focus on issues in their own code instead of standard library problems they can't easily fix.
- Improved IDE integration. AQtime 5 can run alone and is tightly integrated with Microsoft Visual Studio or Borland Developer Studio. AQtime 5 also supports Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Team System.
- Visual Studio integration enhancements include support for the Run button, ability to display profiling results as a Hint and the AQtime Context Sensitive right-click button.
