AOL Turns to Xerox for Scanning and Imaging of Documents

Xerox has signed a five-year contract with AOL to provide the online media company with on-site document scanning and imaging services. Xerox will also provide AOL with consulting services to improve business processes for these types of operations.

Under the agreement, Xerox Global Services will help AOL streamline various corporate services, including sorting incoming hardcopy mail and scanning various accounts payable-related documents, such as vendor invoices, contract documents, and travel and expense documents. Xerox will provide AOL in-depth reports of the various functions to improve tracking and document management, which will result in greater efficiencies and lower costs. In addition, Xerox is helping AOL integrate the digitized documents into the company's existing enterprise resource planning system. Xerox consulting services will help AOL create an imaging center to digitize and manage AOL's documents.
