| eSoft's Newest SpamFilter SoftPak Is Released eSoft has announced a new release of its SpamFilter SoftPak for the InstaGate Integrated Security Gateway. This release brings advanced Anti-Spam technologies to eSoft customers, including administrative and user quarantine tools to simplify and automate maintenance, and integrated tools that automatically learn to differentiate spam from good email. eSoft SpamFilter helps prevent spam from reaching end users by filtering messages delivered from questionable sources, thereby helping streamline network bandwidth, saving server disk space and improving employee productivity. In addition to existing RBL, rule-based scoring and custom white and black list capabilities already available in SpamFilter, the new release includes the following features: Bayesian filtering, heuristic analysis, sender policy framework (SPF), address verification, historical averaging, Outlook plug-in, user quarantine notification, and automated quarantine maintenance. The new features automatically train SpamFilter to recognize and filter spam with fewer false positives before they get to users' mailboxes. eSoft is also introducing its new Email ThreatMonitor Interface for both InstaGate and Threatwall gateways, which displays graphs, statistics and reports on email filtering for Spam, Virus, Phishing, and Spyware threats so that network security professionals have the most comprehensive information available for fighting spam and other malware.
