McAfee Finds New Critical Vulnerabilities in Windows

Microsoft already announced 23 security vulnerabilities this week. This is the largest number since its patch program began. McAfee has found at least one particular vulnerability, the MS0-040 vulnerability in Windows Server Service, which contains a significant security risk. Also, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security says that the Microsoft Windows Server vulnerability could bring the nation's critical infrastructure at risk. The vulnerability could hurt government systems, private industry and critical infrastructure, as well as individual and home users.

McAfee supports the warning of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and re-iterates its position that users pay particular attention to this vulnerability and update their systems immediately. McAfee provides complete coverage for this vulnerability through its consumer and enterprise offerings.
