AMD/MediaPOINTE Goes to Version 2

Advanced Media Design has announced the release of its new Version 2 software for its Digital Media Recorders (DMR), Digital Network Printers (DNP) and Digital Video Capturers (DVC) product lines. The new software can be applied across the existing product line and is standard on MediaPOINTE's new DMR150, 160, 210 and 310.

Software Version 2 brings improved file management to the DMR line, including greater folder security options, SMTP support and its unique CopyMe. technology. CopyMe. utilizes an integrated optical drive and flash drive port so users can record a session and immediately take it with them after a meeting. With this capability, educational and corporate customers can easily and quickly distribute copies of content without the help of an AV specialist.

A new user interface adds functionality to the DMR series (DMR150, DMR160, DMR210 and DMR310) with a simple on-screen menu system that includes a hand-held remote control. MediaPOINTE's Version 2 software enhances third-party control including expanded IR for wireless communications and telnet for easier off-site management. It also provides increased administration capabilities such as email notifications, an expanded API command set for easy programming, and AV test tones and media.

The new software upgrade creates a watermark option on MediaPOINTE's DNPs and DVCs for greater security and attaching source information, and content titling on its DMRs for a consistent, uniform look.
