ArcSoft and V One's H.264 and DVB-T Solution for HDTV on PCs

ArcSoft V One Multimedia have announced their partnership and the availability of a complete solution that supports the H.264 codec and DVB-T broadcasts and will enable consumers to watch, record and enjoy High-Definition television on a PC.

H.264, a state-of-the-art video codec, delivers excellent video and audio quality. As part of the MPEG-4 standard (MPEG-4 Part 10), this ultra-efficient technology gives consumers and broadcasters alike, beautiful video at lower data rates than previously available codecs. With DVB-T adopted by broadcasters in Asia and Europe, H.264 is also the codec of choice for Singapore broadcasters delivering HDTV.

ArcSoft TotalMedia is an application designed for ease-of-use. The program features big-button controls for easy navigation and works both as a traditional PC application (2-foot experience) and a remote-controllable TV application (10-foot experience). Pulling together the functions of DVD drives, TV tuners, card readers, and removable devices, TotalMedia offers an all-in-one solution for high definition video/TV playback, photo editing, audio, and more.
