Breece Hill's BizGuardian Backup Is Now Shipping in Volume

Breece Hill has announced that its all-in-one BizGuardian backup and recovery appliance has begun volume shipments to small and medium businesses and departments of larger organizations throughout the world.

BizGuardian, the only disk-to-disk-to-tape (D2D2T) appliance, provides a pre-configured backup and recovery solution making it easy to own, manage and operate. Out-of-the-box, BizGuardian implements an industry best practices backup strategy. The BizGuardian architecture provides robust protection without the complexity and IT intervention usually associated with traditional multi-layered data protection. It automatically scans the network to discover new desktops, notebooks, or servers, then backs them up to disk without the need for manual intervention. Backup operations are automatically adjusted to ensure all computers get protected, and AES-encrypted tapes are created for safe offsite storage. Users can perform restores of their files themselves without needing to involve IT personnel.

The new solution integrates the benefits of EMC Retrospect backup and recovery software, the speed of disk and the portability of tape into an easy-to-use networked appliance. It provides highly automated backup and recovery operations, saving customers time and money.

With the addition of the BizGuardian appliance, Breece Hill enhances its position as a leader in data protection solutions. Breece Hill has focused on the SMB market for well over a decade, and will continue to offer superior data protection capabilities previously available only to large companies and enterprises.
