Comodo Issues H-Sphere 2.5.1 Beta 2

Comodo, through their Web Hosting and server automation division PSOFT, released the next generation of their flagship control panel - H-Sphere 2.5.1 beta. The latest version introduces a wide range of new approaches and hosting facilities, including Microsoft SharePoint support, single server installation, simplified reseller interface and markup plans implementation.

H-Sphere is widely recognized as uniquely suited to meet the demands of large scale hosting operation. It offers a complete client control panel, an admin interface, private label reselling, built-in SSL certificate management tools, virtual private servers, dedicated server hosting, MS Exchange hosting, integrated billing, trouble ticket system and powerful clustering capabilities - even allowing the management of multiple Linux, FreeBSD & Win200x servers in one centralized cluster.

Most notable amongst the new features and improvements is the continued expansion of H-Sphere's integration with Microsoft Hosted Platform. The addition of support for Windows SharePoint services in combination with existing support for MS Exchange Hosting forms a shared hosting environment where user accounts are managed directly through the H-Sphere control panel.

The new single server edition means datacenters can now pre-install H-Sphere with their dedicated server offering. Furthermore, pricing and licensing for the single server edition was changed to fit into the data center model, making H-Sphere more accessible to a wider range of smaller hosting companies.

Enhancements to the reseller interface and the new Markup Plans add to the simplicity of reselling hosting resources. Resellers now automatically gain both administrative and user accounts in the control panel immediately after sign up. The reseller Markup Plans mean H-Sphere administrators can now create plans with predefined hosting resources so that resellers need only worry about setting their own retail prices.

H-Sphere installation and updates have also undergone significant improvement. Now they are performed by a single script with a variety of flexible options. A special wizard in the control panel also allows the administrator to shape an H-Sphere cluster before installation and provides import/export of H-Sphere configuration in XML format to be easily used in subsequent installations or migrations.
