DivX Announces DivX Certification of Casio EX-S600D

DivX has announced the DivX Certification of Casio EX-S600D, the first digital still camera from Casio to include DivX technology. The EX-S600D represents a breakthrough device by allowing Casio digital camera users to natively capture videos in the extremely popular DivX format.

The Casio EX-S600D is a DivX Special Edition 6.0-megapixel Camera. Beginning in early July, it will be available to consumers in France and Germany. The EX-S600D will capture high-quality videos directly in the DivX format. DivX has become one of the most popular video technologies in the world by enabling the creation and distribution of high-quality video at a fraction of the size of other formats.

The Casio EX-S600D camera allows consumers to easily access the valuable DivX ecosystem, an interconnected web of consumer electronics, software and content services that let users play, create and share high-quality video content across a range of devices and platforms. This includes DVD players, recorders and portable media players. Content created on the camera can be played on all PCs with DivX software installed and on over 1.500 models of DivX Certified consumer electronics devices from the world's leading brands.

The EX-S600D is Casio's latest addition to the Exilim digital camera series.
