EMCC Software to Distribute RoadSync for Nokia S60 3rd Edition

EMCC Software announces the distribution and availability of DataViz' RoadSync for S60 3rd Edition smartphones for its customers in the EMEA region. DataViz, a licensee of Microsoft's Exchange ActiveSync, has incorporated this technology into RoadSync to provide full mobile access to corporate e-mail, calendar and contacts from Exchange Server 2003 for a variety of mobile platforms including Series 80, UIQ, Palm OS and Java. DataViz has now released a version of RoadSync that is compatible with new and upcoming Nokia E-Series and N-Series mobile devices.

Now Nokia's E-series phones, designed for the business customer, can benefit from the most cost effective push-based connectivity to the enterprise server. Owners of Nokia's N-series devices will also have access to this user-friendly solution providing a cost-effective and easy way to stay in touch with family and friends. RoadSync is easy to install and use, requires no middleware servers and has no recurring service or subscription fees. In addition, RoadSync also supports Direct Push technology, Remote Wipe security and Global Address List when installed in combination with the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2), enabling more businesses to deploy a wireless e-mail solution for their workforce at a fraction of the cost associated with today's alternatives.

RoadSync for S60 is a 'Symbian Signed' application and supports the following S60 3rd Edition devices from Nokia: E50, E60, E61, E70, 3250, N71, N73, N80, N91, N92 and N93.

Also recently announced is the plan for RoadSync to support devices based on Windows Mobile 2003 later in 2006, thereby extending the range of supported smartphones to include not just Symbian and Java-based devices but Windows Mobile-based devices as well.
