PIKA Introduces Open Source High Level Programming Interface

PIKA Technologies Inc. has introduced a high level application programming interface (API) available as part of the PIKA MonteCarlo SDK. In addition to the low level API which has been the PIKA standard for many years, a new version of the SDK will also support a high level API. The new high level API will be common across both AllOnBoard (DSP-based) and AllOnHost (host-based) implementations.

A high-level API is a subset or wrapper of a low-level API, and typically delivers what most developers need today. The amount of required code is greatly reduced for each function, in effect, removing the complexity.

The high level API known as Grand Prix, will be available as part of the PIKA MonteCarlo SDK by the end of June.
