Dean Evans & Associates: New versions of All three of Its EMS

Dean Evans & Associates has announced the release of major new versions of all three of its EMS (Event Management System) facility and resource scheduling systems. EMS Lite (Version 6.0), EMS Professional (Version 10.0) and EMS Enterprise (Version 4.0) are used by corporations, higher education campuses, hospitals, churches, school districts and other organizations to manage the scheduling of rooms, resources and services. EMS Enterprise has additional functionality designed for the management of shared office space, a concept often referred to as "hoteling". The add-on Virtual EMS component of each system allows authorized users to submit room requests or make reservations directly from the Internet, and also enables the publishing of event-related information to the web.

Among the areas of focus in the new EMS releases are tighter integration with Windows applications, more process automation, greater flexibility in mirroring an organization's business rules and enhanced internal communication of event changes. In particular, the ability to browse for email addresses in a Global Address List, system-generated reminder emails for reservation holders, new security settings for users, and more comprehensive staff notification functionality were applauded by customers and prospects in pre-release demonstrations.
