Innovative Systems Unveils i/Lytics 2.0

Innovative Systems, Inc. has announced the availability of the i/Lytics Enterprise Data Management Suite, version 2.0. A completely integrated solution for secure and collaborative data profiling, data quality and regulatory compliance, i/Lytics 2.0 delivers the power of Innovative's data management solutions within a single common architecture. Designed to bridge the gap between IT and business audiences, the new version includes sharable reporting and workflow management portals, along with intuitive and user-friendly graphics and dashboards, to make data management and analysis accessible to business and IT stakeholders alike.

The i/Lytics 2.0 platform fully integrates Innovative's cleansing and linking systems with its data profiling system, which allows powerful data quality transformations to occur as part of the data profiling process. Whereas first-generation data profiling tools require data quality transformations to occur outside of the profiling process, this new version profiles raw source data as well as source data that has undergone data quality transformations as part of the profiling effort. This advanced capability eliminates unnecessary profiling and analyses of data problems that can be easily corrected with data quality transformations. Data management rules are easily exchanged between the profiling system and data quality system, to provide productivity gains and consistent standards.

In addition to its integrated data quality advances, i/Lytics 2.0 data profiling offers an open and configurable repository for storing analyses, notes and results. The i/Lytics metadata repository is fully accessible and enables organizations to utilize their preferred corporate database servers and licenses.

Recognizing that business and IT users require different access points and interfaces, the i/Lytics solution continues to provide advanced access through existing interfaces preferred by IT power users, but now also provides a more business user-friendly, thin client access point. Data profiling, data management rules and complex, multi-tier data quality workflows can be configured and managed through an intuitive graphical user interface, which can be initiated via the browser or its services-oriented architecture on SOAP-based Web Services. These advanced capabilities significantly increase enterprise-wide accessibility and operational efficiency, as compared to traditional client/server frameworks.

Rigorous security and auditing controls are especially vital for distributed, enterprise-wide data processing applications. Consequently, i/Lytics 2.0 was designed with enterprise-level security measures that both strengthen and streamline security protocols by providing a registry for authentication using LDAP authorization. The security process enables single- point definition of multi-tiered roles and privileges by group or individual user. Additionally, enhanced reporting and audit logs enable organizations to better track and manage use of the system.

The four components of the i/Lytics Enterprise Data Management Suite - i/Lytics Data Profiler, i/Lytics Data Quality, i/Lytics SECURE and i/Lytics GLOBAL - can be used together as a complete suite, individually as independent solutions, or in any combination. They offer a range of deployment options including licensed software for batch and real-time implementations, or as hosted services offerings.
