WordLogic Releases v4.3 of Critically Acclaimed Software

WordLogic Corporation has announced it has released v4.3 of its WordLogic Predictive Keyboard for tablet, notebook and desktop PCs.

Built on the WordLogic prediction engine, the new release allows a user to search for a word, phrase or an alphanumeric string of data on a user-specified Internet site such as Google.com, Dictionary.com, Wikipedia.org or FedEx.com. For an example in a non-browser application such as Microsoft Word, a user merely has to highlight text or a data string and invoke the WordLogic Portal. The WordLogic Portal will automatically invoke the Internet browser and navigate to the user-specified website and starts the query in the browser with no additional keystrokes or functions.

The user will have the ability to customize their own set of search engines/web sites that they use most frequently, and integrate access to them with their own daily activities without the cumbersome task of opening a multitude of windows.

When a user types the first letter of a word, an on-screen keyboard highlights the next five most common letters as well as the most frequently used words beginning with the entered letters. As the user continues to type, the selection of words is narrowed down, providing the most likely word as selectable options in the prediction window.

The desired word can then be selected by using the mouse or keyboard. By simply holding down any letter - for example, the next letter to be typed - or just by holding down the spacebar; the user activates the prediction window, and can select desired words using the arrow keys. This ability to hold a letter down while simultaneously using other keys is unique to the WordLogic software, and does not restrict key commands for other software applications running on the PC.

The WordLogic Predictive Keyboard provides an entry system that adapts to a user's personal writing style and vocabulary. The software incorporates a customizable dictionary, a calculator, and a method of typing multilingual symbols. It also has the capability to have short phrases of text predicted and allows users to incorporate reoccurring phrases or data strings such as phone numbers and addresses.

WordLogic Predictive Keyboard also utilizes its patent-pending WordChunking technology. WordChunks are parts of longer words and/or phrases and construct the longer word or phrase with a few simple commands. As an example, a user can input "talk..." to get "talking..." and then "talking about..." and finally, "talking about the future".
