| MedcomSoft Record 2006 is Released MedcomSoft Inc. is pleased to announce MedcomSoft Record 2006, the world's first truly interoperable Electronic Medical Record system. MedcomSoft Record 2006 is MedcomSoft's third generation of systems that integrate point of care and reference vocabularies. MedcomSoft Record 2006 is fully integrated with MEDCIN, the industry leading point of care clinical vocabulary, and produces structured data that is automatically codified and cross mapped to other industry standard reference terminologies including SNOMED, LOINC, NDC, ICD9 and CPT. For the first time, drug prescriptions and laboratory test results will be automatically codified with MEDCIN numeric codes in the same manner as clinical notes, thereby providing the first homogeneous longitudinal patient health record. MedcomSoft believes that this breakthrough will establish the basis whereby the industry can achieve proper drug adverse reaction checking based on all the information in a patient chart, and perform effective disease management and health maintenance monitoring.
