Packetry II Wins analogZONE Product of the Year Award

analogZONE presented the Best WAN/Access Product of the Year 2005 award to Greenfield Networks for its Packetry II Metro Ethernet product family. analogZONE chose Greenfield from competing products based on the product's technical merit, design innovation, and anticipated market success.

analogZONE's "Product of the Year" award winners were selected from those reviewed throughout the year by analogZONE editor-in-chief Paul McGoldrick and section editor Lee Goldberg. The editors placed specific emphasis on the product's functionality, performance and marketability.

The Packetry II Metro Ethernet product family is the only merchant silicon solution in the industry to offer a combination of cost-effective Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, integrated traffic management capabilities, and advanced metro features, such as scalable tables and buffering, IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, VPLS, QinQ, MAC-in-MAC and hierarchical QoS, traffic policing and shaping. Packetry II offers Carrier Ethernet equipment vendors a scalable and high performance silicon platform for fixed, stackable and chassis systems that scale from the edge to the core of metro area networks.
