Solo Performer Releases Controller Version 3

Alien Apparatus Company, Inc.releases Solo Performer Show Controller version 3. Solo Performer Show Controller is a system for controlling the background music, lyrics displays, MIDI effects, and light shows for musicians. The system is unique in that all functionality can be controlled by the musician while performing by using a six-button foot controller to control software that runs on Windows and Macintosh computers.

Solo Performer Show Controller plays mp3 files, aiff files, wave files, and MIDI files. It can control MIDI effects units, lights that operate using the industry-standard DMX512 protocol or MIDI, and can display lyrics on-screen in a karaoke-like manner.

The new version 3 was previewed at the 2006 NAMM show in Anaheim, CA, and is now shipping. In this new release, Solo Performer Show Controller brings a new user interface that improves the flexibility of the viewing options. Saved play lists are now only one click away. The screen layout can now be highly customized to display show information that is important to the individual performer.

The lighting capabilities of version 3 have been upgraded from 16 channels to 32 channels, making possible much larger light shows. Within the foot controller is a 32 channel DMX512 light controller that may now be combined with newly added MIDI light control functionality using the computer system's MIDI system.

The Solo Performer Show Controller System is currently the only system available for controlling a show that seamlessly integrates audio, MIDI, lyric displays, and lighting capabilities. With its six-button foot controller, a guitar player could, for example, play a show and have all of the backing rhythm tracks play from the system while it controls the lights and changes the singer's vocal reverb during the choruses.

Solo Performer Show Controller is available for both Windows and Macintosh computer systems.
