JNetDirect's JSQLConnect 5.5 - Support for JDBC 4.0 XML Type

JNetDirect Incorporated has announced the release of JSQLConnect 5.5. The latest upgrade supports the new XML features of the future JDBC 4.0 API specification. Additional features include enhanced support for the BLOB and CLOB SQL data types and support for the new Java Standard Edition Service Provider, a connection status API, and the new prepared statement pooling API.

The upgrade allows developers to work with XML data as a new JDBC data type. XML contents can be stored in and loaded from database tables just like traditional data types; moreover, the XML data type also interoperates with well known JDBC constructs.

JSQLConnect 5.5 is a high performance, native Type-4 JDBC driver for the Java Platform, which provides scalable and reliable connectivity to Microsoft SQL Server. JSQLConnect can be evaluated through a free 30-day trial license to guarantee correct operation in applications.
