Management appointment at BAM International

Bunnik, the Netherlands, 6 March 2019 – The Executive Board of Royal BAM Group nv has appointed Mr E. van Zuthem as director of BAM International bv, effective 1 April 2019. Eric van Zuthem (50), is currently Area Director North America and Africa at BAM International. As from 1 June 2019, Eric van Zuthem will succeed Mr G.K. Mazloumian BSc (Hons), CEng, MICE as chairman of the Board of BAM International, who will retire at the end of June 2019.

George Mazloumian (64) started his nearly 46-year long career with BAM in 1973 (Higgs & Hill Overseas Ltd, part of BAM since 1998) and has worked in various countries and regions across the world including the United Kingdom, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and the Middle East. He was appointed on the Board of BAM International in 2007 and was appointed chairman in 2009. The Executive Board of Royal BAM Group is very grateful for George Mazloumian’s significant contribution to the development of BAM International.

Eric van Zuthem was active as senior project manager from 1990 until 2003, overseeing projects of former BAM subsidiaries in the Caribbean and the USA. After working for several years as general manager for a US marine contractor, he returned to BAM International in November 2012 as Area Director Africa. Since 2017, he is also Area Director North America.

From 1 June 2019 the Board of BAM International will consist of Eric van Zuthem and Wouter Remmelts.
