ACS Group, award of the joint water pollution control plant effluent outfall tunnel project

Madrid, 26th October, 2018

Group ACS has been announced as Apparent Low Bidder for the Joint Water Pollution Control Plant Effluent Outfall Tunnel Project for the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County in California. The Project value is above $630M.

Dragados was recently named as the apparent low bidder by the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles for construction of the Joint Water Pollution Control Plant Effluent Outfall Tunnel Project. Dragados’ bid of $630.5 million was the lowest of five bids received for the project.

The work consists of constructing approximately 7 miles of an 18-foot internal diameter tunnel with a precast concrete post-tensioned segmental lining, a 14-foot diameter connecting pipe, an approximately 60-foot diameter drop shaft, junction structure, manifold structure and two valve structures, and all appurtenant work.

The tunnel will pass through the cities of Carson, Los Angeles, and Rancho Palos Verdes in Los Angeles County, California.

This award consolidates the already broad presence of Dragados in the competitive West Coast construction market, and joins the extensive portfolio that ACS has grown in the US through its multiple affiliates.
