RAMBOLL WELCOMES DIGITAL FRONTRUNNER ON THE GROUP EXECUTIVE BOARD 1 January 2018 Hilde Tonne will assume the position as Chief Innovation Officer in the Ramboll Group. As a new member of the Group Executive Board she will head the digital transformation of the leading international consultancy. Hilde Tonne has a strong international track record as a leader in innovation and digitalisation from the telecom and oil and gas sectors. For eight years she was a member of the Group Executive Management of Telenor i.a. as Executive Vice President for Group Industrial Development and as a Deputy Head of the Asia region. Before this she headed Technology and Research in Norsk Hydro ASA, Oil & Energy. Digitalisation is expected to transform the technical consultancy industry in the coming years, just as it is the case for many other industries. Therefore digitalisation plays a key role in Ramboll’s 2020 strategy Winning Together. “We wish to be at the front end of this development which means that we as a company need to transform as well. Hilde is a very experienced executive with broad international career from industries that have been challenged by rapid digital change. She has a strong profile to be leading innovation and digitalisation in Ramboll”, says Group CEO Jens-Peter Saul. “I am equally inspired to be given the opportunity to help guide Ramboll successfully into a more digital future. Digitalisation must be embedded in daily operations and define the way we serve and engage with our clients. In 2016 Hilde Tonne headed the formation of Digital Norway, a common initiative from the fifteen largest corporations in Norway to establish a center for supporting digitalisation of Norwegian companies. She now heads the Advisory Board of Digital Norway. In the past Hilde Tonne has held several non-executive board positions in Norwegian companies. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Danske Bank Group and Chair of the Board of Directors of Hafslund AS, a Norwegian power grid company. Hilde Tonne has a M.Sc. in Reservoir Engineering. She has received executive management training from INSEAD and IMD. |
